Annual Gun Bash
MVFD hosts an annual Gun Bash towards the end of winter. What better way to bring in the warm weather than with cold beer, cash prizes, and a whole lot of guns? Winners are announced throughout the event, and meals are provided. With good food and better company, this is our event of the year.
Annual Purse Bash
MVFD gives the ladies a night out with its annual Purse Bash. From purses to sunglasses, there are all manner of goods up for grabs. Cash prizes frequently round the room with prizes announced throughout the night. With good food and better company, it has become a staple for the community.
Farmers and Flea Market
MVFD provides a place for local farmers and craftsmen to share their produce and wares. Booths are available indoors and outdoors, and concessions are available periodically.
Children’s Activities
Community involvement is very important to MVFD. Working closely with other community resources, MVFD partners with the Preston County Youth Center (PCYC) to host weekly activities that educate and train youth at no additional cost to the children.
MVFD hosts its own activities as well. Each year, MVFD hosts Fire Prevention Day, which includes games and demonstrations to be enjoyed by all ages. Another favorite is the Halloween Trunk or Treat that provides families a safe place to show off costumes. MVFD wraps up each year with Breakfast with Santa
