Learn Unique Skills

We take pride in the extensive skill diversity of our members.  With the unique geography of Masontown comes unique challenges. Whether responding to an emergency in town or on Bull Run, MVFD members are prepared to provide aid in any circumstance. With Technicians in Swift Water, Rope Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, and Medical all under one roof, the highly skilled volunteers can provide unique advantages in responding to calls and training with peers.

Train with Peers

MVFD strives to conduct monthly trainings with its members. With so many areas of response, it keeps skills fresh throughout the year. Our members are capable of preparing newcomers for testing before they ever set foot in a classroom.

Additionally, MVFD has a wide variety of unique training tools to help simulate real-life scenarios and prepare members before ever setting foot in a fire or on a medical call.
